For the month of August, I am pleased to announce that my work has been selected for the final round of the "Art Steamboat" competition.
Art Steamboat is a new juried art competition, exhibition and sale, August 1 – 17, 2014, showcasing the works of top level 2-D artists selected from
submissions from a five state western region.
Artists will be competing for cash prizes up to $10,000 for Best of Show. The purpose of the initiative is to help establish Steamboat Springs as an arts
destination for high-end collectors and sophisticated art clientele.
My work will be on display at The Center for Visual Arts August 1st-17th.
The final awards ceremony and sale hosted by the juror, Betsy Dillard Stroud will take place at
The Depot on August 15th from 5:30-7:30pm.
Along with the competition, as one of the finalists, I will have a booth at the Yampa Art Stroll.
The Yampa Art Stroll is also a part of the Steamboat All Arts Festival, and will be located along the promenade
at the base of the ski area August 15, 16 and 17.
Art Steamboat will also coincide with the All Arts Festival, now in its sixth year, following the Steamboat Wine Festival,
so it will be an amazing time in Steamboat.
